All our doors are supplied with Smart Systems hinges which means these have been tested to British Standards and guarantee that your door will not drop over time. As a standard we use the black hinge to match the gasket but other colours are available on request.
Rollers
The roller hinge is one of the most critical components as this is what gives you your smooth sliding action. Due to this, again we only use the Smart Systems standard roller; Smarts test all their doors using their own accessories. This specific type of hinge has been tested to carry a door weight of 80kg. If you buy a bi-fold with any other brand of accessory then this will have not been tested by Smarts.
Magnet
The doors have a polished chrome magnet located at the top to hold your doors together in the folded position. This stops your doors blowing about in the summer breeze.
The magnet also acts as a door stops to prevent the handles clashing with the doors and causing any damage.
